Three Truths and a Lie

Hartinger, B.
In Washington State, four teenage friends spend a weekend at a cabin in the woods and an innocent game of “Three Truths and a Lie” quickly goes awry. The teens find themselves victims of vandalism which quickly escalates as one-by-one the teens are killed. This fast-paced, thriller for mature students can encourage critical thinking as the characters make decisions based on a variety of situations, including sexual attraction, personal safety, or the safety of others, and students could consider how they would react in similar situations of personal and social responsibility. Best-suited for independent reading or a literature circle due to its content. Social considerations noted.
