Trudy's Rock Story

Spiller, T.
Trudy comes from a large family and experiences many emotions and conflict, especially when dealing with her young brother. Her grandmother teaches her that when she is upset, she should get a rock from Mother Earth, hold it tightly, tell it how she feels, and it will help her release her emotions, anger, and sadness. When Trudy is a grandmother she passes on this wisdom to the next generation. This touching story, accessible to K-3 students, will help students identify their feelings and develop self-regulation strategies to assist with their emotions.
