TrueFLIX

TrueFlix is an online non-fiction resource that complements Scholastic’s True Books series. This highly engaging and timely resource combines text, videos, images, and audio with interactive features, and is easy to navigate. Each learning topic consists of a teacher ready lesson, a short video, a comprehensive e-book, an Explore More section, a project idea, an activity centre, a vocabulary match-up game, and an excellent set of Web links. The resource promotes student inquiry and critical thinking, fosters independent learning, and can easily be used with small and large groups. TrueFlix meets the PLOs in Social Studies, Science, and Language Arts for grades 3-8.
