Tweak: Growing up on Methamphetamines
This autobiography is a raw chronicle of Nic Sheff's drug addiction which results in a life of crime including prostitution and theft and ultimately estrangement from his family and near death experiences. Although this book is very relevant, contemporary and a subject that students would find very engaging and would learn a great deal from, the events portrayed are disturbing, violent and of mature content. Teachers should carefully consider the maturity of their students and the values of their community before using this book.
