Set in the near future after public schools have gone bankrupt and big businesses have taken over education, this dystopian novel follows fifteen year old Katey (Kid) who goes to school in the Game. Although the Game appears to be engaging and customized to student needs and interests, Kid and others begin to realize that it commodifies all learning, social interactions and creativity, turning it all into trends and products that are sold back to the students and the wider world.
