Voices into Action

Booth, D; Swartz, L; Myers, J et al.
Voices into Action is designed to help students think critically about issues of human rights and discrimination. It allows students to develop their understanding of these terms by looking at historical and contemporary examples of human rights abuses. Students will be encouraged to reflect on their own biases and stereotypes and challenge themselves to look at events from multiple perspectives. The resource is engaging, current, and accurate, and will support topics in Secondary Social Studies and Language Arts courses. Teachers will appreciate the well-designed website and the useful teacher’s guide.
