Waiting for Normal

Addie lives with her mother in a small trailer in the city. Her mother frequently leaves Addie on her own for 3 or more days, but Addie hides this from those who ask in order to protect her mom. Addie's former step-dad is in a new relationship, and though Addie loves being a part of that new family while on visits, she feels an obligation to stay with her mother.
