War of the Eagles

Walters, Eric
This adventure novel tells the story of Jed, a young First Nations man, and his Japanese friend, Tadashi. The two of them live in Prince Rupert during World War II. They struggle with a range of problems, from bullying to wildlife in captivity. More importantly, they must deal with issues of racism and the internment of the Japanese. This book would appeal to both genders and would complement a unit on racism.
