War I Finally Won, The
During World War II, Ada, her brother Jamie, and guardian Susan leave London to escape the war and Ada, disabled with a club foot, has it repaired which boosts her self-esteem and helps her build relationships. Ultimately, the trio shares a home with wealthy Lady Thorton, her daughter Maggie, and a German Jew seeking refuge, and this unlikely group learns to open their hearts and define their loyalties as they survive the war together.
