Web of Lies

Beverley Naidoo
This high-interest/low-vocabulary novel places the reader within a family who have fled their home in war-torn Nigeria. Femi, the main character, and his sister, Sade, live with their father in the inner city of London, England. Although their father supervises them with the love and vigilance that come from extreme loss, young Femi wants to prove to himself that he is strong and independent. Consequently, he gets involved with a gang of older boys who use him to steal and to run drugs.
