What to Do With a Box

Yolen, J.; Sheban, C.
This picture book, written in rhyme, demonstrates the possible creations that could be made from a cardboard box. Children will use their creativity and imagination as they follow a box being transformed from a library, to a nook, to a race car. Students could then generate ideas, research possibilities, and draft a step-by-step plan to create their own masterpieces. Emerging readers will understand the clear and simple text, and the interesting content and detailed illustrations will appeal to early primary students.
