Engage, Connect, Protect: Empowering Diverse Youth as Environmental Leaders

Ezeilo, A.; Chiles, N.
Environmental issues affect communities across borders, and this book aims to close the divide between cultures by engaging diverse youth from communities of colour in environmental activism. In highlighting the experiences and stories of grassroots activists, “Engage, Connect, Protect” provides information and tools for youth and it can support senior secondary students in leadership or environmentalism-inquiry projects. In the classroom, the resource supports project-based learning with a focus on environmentalism in a format that also invites careful consideration of each topic.
